Hasp Vault

Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 August 2026.

By installing or using Hasp Vault ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

1. What the app does

Hasp Vault stores documents, passwords, bank cards and notes locally on your device. It is a storage and organisation tool. It is not a password manager service, a backup service, or a cloud product, and it does not transmit your content to us.

2. Your data is your responsibility

Please read this section carefully — it is the most important one here.

3. Free plan and Hasp Pro

The app is free to use, with no limit on how many documents, passwords, cards or notes you store. Encrypted backup and restore are included free, deliberately, so that protecting yourself from data loss never costs money.

Hasp Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks additional features — expiry reminders, the password health check, phone-to-phone transfer, break-in alerts, the intruder photo and extra themes. It is sold two ways, and both unlock exactly the same features:

The yearly plan may be offered with a free trial — three days on Google Play at the time of writing. The trial costs nothing, and if you cancel before it ends you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the yearly subscription begins automatically at the price shown in the app when you signed up, and renews each year until cancelled. The trial is offered only to accounts that have not subscribed to Hasp Pro before, so the store decides whether it applies to you; the app always shows the exact terms and the renewing price before you confirm.

Purchases and cancellations are handled by the App Store or Google Play; refunds are subject to their policies, not ours. Because the app has no accounts and no servers, your purchase is restored by the "Restore purchases" button, which asks the store what your account owns.

The app contains no advertising. Should advertising ever be introduced, it would be optional, it would never appear alongside your documents, cards or passwords, and these terms and the privacy policy would be updated before that version was released.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to store or distribute material that is unlawful, or that you have no right to hold. You are responsible for the content you place in your own vault.

5. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While it is built with care and uses established encryption, no software is free of defects and no device is beyond compromise. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will protect against every possible threat.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of vault contents through uninstalling, device failure, a forgotten PIN, or a forgotten backup passphrase.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page will change when they are, and continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
